Hollywood actor Brent Castellano, star of three moderately successful action franchises, has reportedly assembled a 14-person team dedicated entirely to making his social media presence seem more ‘down to earth,’ sources close to the production confirmed Tuesday.
The team, which includes two ‘authenticity consultants,’ a ‘casual typo specialist,’ and a former barista hired specifically to advise Castellano on how to order coffee in a way that doesn’t sound rehearsed, has been working around the clock since March. Their efforts include staged photos of Castellano ‘just hanging out’ in sweatpants that were tailored by an Italian designer, and carefully misspelled Instagram captions meant to suggest he types them himself in a hurry.
‘We want people to feel like Brent is just a regular guy who happens to make $20 million a movie,’ said Castellano’s relatability strategist, Diane Fenmore. ‘That means every photo of him eating a burrito has to look unposed, even though it took us four takes and a lighting rig to get his ‘candid bite’ just right.’
The initiative reportedly began after focus groups found that fans described Castellano as ‘suspiciously polished’ and ‘possibly a hologram.’ Since the rebrand, his engagement numbers have risen 40%, with fans praising his new posts as ‘so real’ and ‘proof he’s just like us.’ Castellano himself declined to comment, citing a scheduling conflict with his twice-weekly session on how to laugh more ‘genuinely’ on camera.
As of press time, the relatability team was reportedly brainstorming ways to make Castellano’s upcoming $12 million mansion purchase ‘feel humble.’
